Some wedding days feel extra sacred and Sierra & Xavon’s wedding at the San Marcos Resort in Chandler, Arizona was one of those days I will carry in my heart forever.
I’ve had the incredible privilege of photographing Sierra through some of the most meaningful milestones in her life—from her high school graduation to her university portraits. Watching her grow into the woman she is today, and now witnessing her step into marriage, was deeply emotional for me.
This wedding wasn’t just about two people in love, it was about family, faith, and community. I know Sierra’s entire family through church, and seeing familiar faces gathered to celebrate them made the day feel even more special. It truly felt like our community coming together, rejoicing in love.
As the day unfolded, I found myself holding back tears more times than I can count. I felt incredibly honored and grateful to be trusted with these memories. This family’s trust runs deep. Nearly ten years ago, I had the privilege of photographing Sierra’s sister Monique & Kelvin’s wedding portraits, and being invited back again is something I don’t take lightly.
Sierra & Xavon are the kind of couple that radiate joy. They are fun, sweet, full of laughter, and undeniably madly in love. Their connection is genuine, effortless, and so full of life. Capturing their love felt natural: every smile, every glance, every quiet moment spoke volumes.
